About the Student-Run Clinics |

All proceeds from the HeartBeat event go to UC Davis student-run medical clinics and the Bayanihan Clinic, which provide FREE primary health care to underserved populations of Sacramento. All of the clinics are staffed by volunteer UC Davis medical students, undergraduates, and area physicians. |

| * Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic primarily serves the homeless community in Sacramento, which faces innumerable challenges in receiving health care. |
| * Bayanihan Clinic is a student-run clinic that provides primary care services to the underserved populations, particularly the Filipino WorldWar II Veterans and the uninsured population in Sacramento and surrounding communities. |
