The American Medical Students Association (AMSA) is a national medical student organization that promotes healthcare service and awareness. At the University of California, Davis chapter, the AMSA organization works diligently to meet these goals by providing free medical care to those with little or no access at all. AMSA helps to sponsor these clinics by three charity events every year that are medical student-run. They include the AMSA Wine-Tasting in the Fall, the AMSA Auction in the Winter and the AMSA Heartbeat Run in the Spring. To learn more about AMSA at UC Davis, please visit their web site (http://cim.ucdavis.edu).

The UC Davis School of Medicine has been a long-time partner of Clinica Tepati and the other student-run free clinics. They are actively involved in the school's AMSA fund-raising events and the annual Clinica Tepati banquet. Thanks to their support, UC Davis is the only school in the UC system with 5 student-run free clinics with two clinics over 25 years old. Moreover, over 85 percent of UC Davis medical students volunteer at the clinics and many receive academic credit for their participation.
