The preceptors are an integral part of Clinica Tepati. Without their generous donation of time and their willingness to teach medical students, Clinica Tepati would not be able to serve our patients.

The role of a preceptor is to serve as an Attending Physician for the day. He/She listens to the medical student's case presentation, assists them in determining the best course of action for the patient, and verifies the student's progress note for accuracy. As such, the preceptor teaches the medical student how to provide quality care for various health conditions.

Preceptors are NOT obligated to volunteer every Saturday. On a given Saturday, Clinica Tepati needs at least two preceptors.

In order to become a preceptor, you must have a faculty appointed position with UC Davis and be board certified. Staff is available to assist you with this process.
