The principal responsibilities of the Medical Director are:
- To assure that the patients of Clinica Tepati receive heal care of the highest quality
- To facilitate established programs in health education for the patients and the students who serve those patients
In order to assure quality control of health care delivery, the Medical Director will monitor the operation of the clinic and make sure that clinic protocols are being strictly followed. Additionally, the Medical director will carefully review all patient charts at the end of each clinic session. It will be the responsibility of the Medical Director to enforce adherence to all legal guidelines by the clinic staff.
The other major responsibility of the Medical Director is to educate both the medical students and the undergraduate students who staff the clinic in the proper and culturally sensitive delivery of health care.
The one-year term of the Medical Director begins in June. Residents are welcome to interview.
